Troy Athens High School

Mr. Jimmy Morang has been named the new Varsity Head Coach of the Athens Girls Lacrosse program! Coach Morang has done an outstanding job serving as our JV Head Coach over the past two seasons, and we are excited to have him step into this leadership role. His familiarity with our student-athletes, strong relationships within the program, and commitment to their development will provide valuable continuity as we move forward. Coach Morang is committed to building a strong, positive culture that supports our student-athletes both on and off the field. We will be working closely with him to finalize the coaching staff, with the goal of retaining as many of our current coaches as possible to maintain continuity throughout the program. Moving forward, Coach Morang will continue coordinating off-season workouts and communicating directly with our student-athletes regarding program activities, expectations, and updates as we prepare for the spring season. We are excited about the future of Athens Girls Lacrosse and look forward to building a program rooted in character, commitment, teamwork, and competitive excellence. Go Red Hawks!
