Troy Athens High School

Leading the girls team to a 9th place finish was Clare O’Reilly finishing 11th and earning a medal. Also medaling for the girls were Gargi Sonawane with a new PR coming in 40th and Nina Lewis also with a new PR in 43rd! But the PRs didn’t stop there as Ella Bunao, Emma Madison, Haneul Siemion, Renee Diaz, Michelle Mathews, Elisa Blachford, and Stella Zech all ran new personal bests! The guys team were also flying on the course today as they finished 4th overall! It’s time to update the record board as Colin Blachford lead the boys with a new #4 in school history being just the 4th guy to break 16 minutes in the 5k. Colin came through the line with a new PR of 15:53 to a 5th place finish and a medal. Also medaling for the guys were Eddie Nolan (PR 21st), Derek Groen (PR 36th), Jackson Stedman (PR 39th), Luke Shelton (PR 43rd), and Ethan Feys (PR 46th). The PRs just kept coming as Jacob Groen, Leo Sosa-Castillo, Owen Pacyga, Victor Hayoo, Edward Ostberg, Bryson Evans (Debut Race!), and Aarush Nallamalli all lowered their best times! The Red Hawks now look ahead to both Jamboree 2 and Oakland Counties this upcoming week!
