JV Lady RedHawks Win Tough Road Game @ Southfield A & T on Saturday.

By Ron Papuga | Feb 17, 2026 10:15 PM

Our JV Lady RedHawks traveled to Southfield A & T on Saturday for a league make-up game to face the Warriors on their home court. Both teams came out slowly on the offensive end, as both teams scored 7 points apiece to end the 1st quarter in a tie. Lily Greaves had 4 points to lead the RedHawks. The second quarter saw a bit more scoring as the Warriors outscored the visiting RedHawks 13-9 to take a 20-16 lead heading into halftime. The Lady RedHawks had numerous opportunities with very good shot selection but couldn't knock them down early. The 3rd quarter saw both defenses pick up their intensity, but the RedHawks were able to outscore the Warriors 11-9 to cut the lead to 29-27, seizing the momentum heading into the 4th quarter. The Lady RedHawks jumped out quickly in the 4th and with a stifling defense outscored the home team 16-6 to win the game by the score of 43-35. An outstanding team effort by our ladies this afternoon. Both, Lily Greaves (12 points, 8 steals, 2 assists & 1 block) and Madelyn Odgers (11points, 14 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist & 2 blocks) led the Lady RedHawks in the game. Other key contributors were, Madhu Battula (7 points, 2 assists, 1 board & 1 steal), Ella Odgers (6 points & 3 rebounds) and Sienna Brown (6 points, 3 boards, 1 assist & 1 block). The win raised the RedHawks overall record to 14-3 and 6-0 in the league. The ladies play next on Wednesday, February 18th @ Madison Heights Lamphere at 4:00. Awesome game and win ladies! Keep up the hard work.
