3rd game in 4 nights in back-to-back weeks against the same opponent. It looks like another rough night as Rochester Adams traveled to Troy Athens on Friday and this game was a mirror image of the one from last week @ Adams. Both teams came out struggling to get any offensive rhythm this night, but the RedHawks did just enough to take an 8-7 lead after 1 quarter on Parents & Grandparents Night. Savannah Byrum had 4 points to lead our ladies in the quarter. The 2nd quarter was another struggle as both defenses carried the game as the Highlanders outscored the RedHawks 6-2 to take a 13-10 halftime lead. After a few adjustments at halftime, the RedHawks came out and took control of the game with a15-6 run to take a 25-19 lead heading into the 4th quarter. Sophia Alexander's 8 points sparked our ladies to take the lead. The 4th quarter our Lady RedHawks outscored Adams 12-6 to win the game by the score of 37-25 which was almost the same score from the previous week. Sophia (10 points, 2 steals & 2 rebounds) in less than a half a game led the RedHawks. Other key contributors were, Lily Greaves (6 points, 4 steals, 2 assists & 2 boards), Savannah Byrum (5 points & 3 rebounds) and The Three Musketeers, Madelyn Odgers (4 rebounds & 2 steals), Ella Odgers (7 rebounds, 2 steals & 2 assists) & Emery Collesano (2 boards) each had 4 points apiece. Sienna Brown also had (6 boards). The win moved the Lady RedHawks overall record to 13-3 and 5-0 in league play. Way to hang tough ladies and another great defensive effort.
