The Varsity & JV Lady RedHawks traveled to Warren Woods Tower on Tuesday to face the Titans in a non-league affair. First up was our JV Ladies who came out quickly against the Titans jumping out to an early 8-2 lead, only to see Tower come back and cut the deficit to 8-6 after one quarter. Madelyn Odgers scored 6 points to lead the RedHawks in the quarter. The second quarter was a different story though, as our ladies clamped down on the defensive end creating numerous turnovers and steals to outscore the home team by the score of 18-0 to take a 26-6 lead into halftime. The RedHawks were never threatened after that. Madelyn Odgers 7 points, Samantha Kolpak 4 points and Ella Odgers with 3 points led the Lady RedHawks in the quarter. In the 3rd quarter, our ladies outscored the Titans 10-3 to take a 36-9 lead heading into the final quarter. 5 players contributed points in the quarter for the visitors. Again, the 4th quarter was much of the same as the last 3 as the RedHawks outscored the Titans 14-2 to trounce the home team by the score of 50-11 to win their 3rd straight road game. Our ladies were led by Madelyn Odgers (15 points, 2 steals & 3 blocks) and Samantha Kolpak with (6 points, 2 steals & 1 assist). Other key contributors were Briony Esper (5 points, 3 rebounds & 2 assists) in her best game of the season, Sienna Young (4 points, 2 rebounds,1 steal & 4 assists), Aleen Ahmad (4 points, 2 rebounds & 2 steals) and Lily Greaves (4 points,1 rebound, 5 steals & 2 assists) in less than a half of action. Savannah Schubeck who saw her 1st action in over 2 weeks had (3 points, 1 assist & 1 block) in limited minutes and Ella Odgers (3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals & 1 assist) & Faith Cotton had (3 points, 1 rebound & 1 assist). 11 of the 13 players scored and the team had 17 assists on 22 made buckets. Outstanding teamwork tonight ladies. The win improved the Lady RedHawk's record to 6-3 on the season with another league road game on Thursday @ Rochester Adams at 5:30. Great job ladies and keep working hard.
