Visiting Spartans from Livonia Stevenson Trounce Lady Redhawks

With the Lady RedHawks coming into tonight's game at 4-1 and the Livonia Stevenson Spartans at 4-0 the fans were looking forward to a close game between 2 very good teams. Instead, the Lady Spartans showed everyone why they are undefeated and a contender for their conference championship and possibly more by routing our Lady RedHawks by a score of 68-25. The Spartans jumped out to a 14-2 first quarter lead and a 32-11 halftime lead and never looked back. Katie Malone led our Lady RedHawks with 7-1st half points. The second half was much of the same as the visitors outscored our RedHawks 36-14 to win going away. The Redhawks were held to a season low 5 field goals in the game. Katie Malone led the RedHawks with 9 points, 3 rebounds & 2 steals, Kata Tasich (6 points & 7 boards), Kaitlyn Piggott (5 points & 6 boards), Annabelle Beaubien (3 points, 3 steals, 2 boards & 1 assist) and Madi Stencel had 5 rebounds. A tough loss to a very good team. At the time of this article the Spartans are 7-0 and averaging over 63 points a game. The loss drops the Lady RedHawks to 4-2 record. The ladies will be back on the hardwood in the New Year. Keep working hard ladies.
