Troy United Caps West-Side Trip with Dominant 9–2 Win Over Reeths-Puffer

Muskegon, MI — Troy United Hockey closed out a successful west-side road trip on Saturday with a commanding 9–2 victory over Reeths-Puffer, showcasing explosive scoring across the lineup. Captain Joey Clark (Troy High School) opened the scoring early, capitalizing when TU caught the Rockets mid line-change. Troy United stormed into the second period, striking three times in the first 80 seconds. Alternate Captain Ben Dumas (Athens High School) kicked off the surge with his first of the night. Breiden Blaeske (AHS) followed by tipping in a shot from his brother, Gavin Blaeske (AHS). Moments later, Kaiser Ascencio (AHS) buried a rebound for his first of four goals on the day. Alternate Captain Ascencio added his second shortly after on a breakaway, extending the lead before Reeths-Puffer generated some momentum during a TU penalty stretch. Senior Chris Gatto (THS) closed the period with a key goal off a setup from Jian Song (THS). Troy United wasted no time in the third period. Dumas netted his second goal just 20 seconds in. Ascencio then completed his hat trick with a shorthanded tally and later added his fourth to seal the dominant 9–2 win. Troy United now turns its attention to a pair of OAA league matchups next weekend: Friday: Away vs. Stoney Creek at Suburban Ice Rochester.
